Vessel Reservation Procedure
Vessel reservations is made according to the following procedure:
- Fill out the reservation request form and state the desired charter time/s
- You will be contacted in the shortest time period as possible
- In case the desired charter time is already taken, we will find the free dates or another vessel, all in accordance with your wishes, needs and expectations
- When you decide on the dates and the vessel, we will send you a lease contract, a pro forma invoice, and a form for passenger list.
- Terms and payment deadlines are defined and visible in the pro forma invoice
- When the last instalment is paid, we will contact you again and send you additional descriptions and technical characteristics of the vessel
- We will ask you to send us the filled out passenger list, and a photocopy of your ship's passport, along with the photocopy of your VHF GMDSS licence, so that you can assume your vessel faster, once you come to the charter base
- At the charter base you will have to pay a suretyship, either in cash or a bank card
Insurance
We recommend you take care of your medical and accident insurance for abroad, because accidents are never far away, and it is strongly recommended to have that sorted. At the same time we would like to recommend you risk insurance, in case you need to cancel the vessel charter. We can also offer you advice on where to turn to, so you can carry out the insurance procedures successfully.
Ship's Passport
Before you decide to charter a vessel, we recommend you check the validity of your ship’s passport. This is something we will also remind you of when we sign the lease contract. It is not obligatory that the same person hold both the boat - handling master Class I and also radiotelephony course. The latter can also be a crewmember.
VHF GMDSS Licence
At least one crewmember must have the licence for handling the VHF radio station. At the same time we would like to recommend that before sailing, all licence holders should renew their knowledge on the interactive simulator, which is available on: www.egmdss.com.
